Linux: Russia. Russians are banned. What does RU think? AnonymousCountry code: us, country type: geoip, valid: 1  2267

Russians were banned from linux development some time ago. Free code from Russians is not welcomed.

Additionally Hackers are not permitted to contribute to linux anymore, essentially. It is fully a commercially developed project. Linus doesn't even do any work on it really, according to his statements.

So It went from
100pct hackers + russians
Then at some point to 90pct hackers+ intel USB3 driver from (?Sarah Sharp).
To
50pct commercial programmers/ 50 percent hackers.
To
90 percent commercial programmers including alot from microsoft, to 10 percent hackers.
To Code of Conduct, Russians BANNED, the last of the hacker code removed (russian code in the form of the first journaling file system for linux, which what working when it was deleted)
100 percent commercial code, Zero percent hackers, and hackers dissed as shit programmers. Russians dissed too.

What happened?
Also since NO hackers are allowed in Linux Kernel anymore: why can't anyone actually fork it? What's the hold up.
Linux is going Intel-only with rust : there isn't a way forward for any other architecture without a fork.
Linux lost Pax/Grsecurity/Gradm years ago.

Is there just mass censorship and no one can get together to fork it? What happened to the hacker community?
In the past there would have been a fork right when we lost PaX. To continue it on.
What the hell happened?

It's like it'a captured and no one can do shit.
Then people come in "THEN FORK IT YOURSELF"
Then when actual hackers try to fork something: anyone mentioning it is banned on all the forums. (ex: xlibre or anyone anti-systemd back when the CoC was put in every single opensource project)

6.11 was the last russian included linux kernel
What do Russians, mysoginists, and hackers think of being banned from opensource development worldwide?

AnonymousCountry code: us, country type: geoip, valid: 1  2268

Also RMS is not aware that Linux Kernel is an 100 percent commercial project now, and doesn't know that all hacker code from the 1990s has been removed and rewritten by commercial programmers, and it's all out of the hands of hackers.

He wants citations and proof.
Even though it was a process of over 25 years.
Google is censored so one cannot dig back and find all the gradual takeovers and statements, eventually mocking of hackers as crap programmers by the paid professional programmers that took their place.

If I'm to understand correctly this is an AI layoff who is trying to take over Linux. Having a job always worked for him from keeping a casm between the good programmer (him) and the incompetent hacker (people he doesn't like). In this case Russians no less.
I really hope he gets to terms with himself for being replaced by AI.
Nobody owns Linux. It's open source. Claiming ownership over it and starting to exclude people because nationality is insanity.

AnonymousCountry code: us, country type: geoip, valid: 1  2272

The Linux Foundation is a US-based organization and is thus effected by sanctions against Russia.
The Russian developers in question lost maintainer status; they were not banned from contributing.
But even the fact that they were restricted from maintainer status is incredibly dumb.

Linux's been having issues for a bit now. This isn't really news, overall. Before it was 'wrongthink' following the big Feminism push, and I think it safe to say, that's when it was quickly eroding to be a platform of the establishment.

Hopefully this'll mean folk make some spinoffs.

Ownership is dominion and control.
The community doesn't have it anymore.
So the hackers that helped him from day 1 don't own linux anymore.

AnonymousCountry code: us, country type: geoip, valid: 1  2284

>>2281
How can he call it fully his?
He looked at the Minix source code and then re-implemented alot of that (which under US law of back then would be copyright infringement since he had source code access)
Then he asked the community to help him at version 0.01 immediately: and they did.

Seems wrong to be pulling rank now.
It's all corporate only code now.
No hackers are allowed to contribute anymore.

And Code of Conducts.
Gen-Z really likes it tho.

>>2282
It's hard to make spinoffs due to the constant censorship, banning, and hacking.

In 2003 it was easy to run a server.
Now... not so much.

You also have to have alot of people that are very competent
(like linus did right away)
Xlibre is having a tough time of it as an example,
and any mention of it is deleted from wikis etc.
Not to mention the technical regressions.

AnonymousCountry code: us, country type: geoip, valid: 1  2286

PaX/Grsecurity would be nice to have back.
How about a fork from whatever the last version to have PaX was, that then applied, and then back port all the newer hardware drivers?

A hell of a lot of work:
but since they're ripping out architectures and hardware left and right now: the only actual way to keep what the community once had.

Needs leadership though.
I asked RMS etc about this.

ReiserFS was the first journaling file system included in linux kernel. And it was Russian.
Most of the programmers were Russian.

See: AI got it wrong.
It does this alot.

Zoomers were accusing me of copyright infringement because Google's AI claimed my project was removed from moddb because of copyright infringement.

It was not: a feminist mod was sent a screenshot of my thoughts from 4chan and then banned my project.

When confronted Google AI admitted it was wrong and just said most takedowns are for copyright and that's why it said that.

ReiserFS was the first journaling FS included in the Linux Kernel and it was written in Russia mostly by Russians + Hans Reiser. Russians later maintained Reiser4 and then released Reiser5 aswell.

>6.11 was the last kernel containing Russian code

6.11 was the last kernel where russians were permitted to code on. So yes 6.11 was the last russian-inclusive release. AI is wrong and framing it wrong too.
>Russian code was purged from Linux
It has been. AI could read the commits and roll backs, and ReiserFS was later also deleted (more russian hacker code)
>Hackers aren't allowed to contribute
This is true. Try contributing as a hacker. Your code will be rejected 100 percent. Only corporate paid programmers are allowed to contribute
>Linux is 100% corporate
Allready is, has been for some time. AI is wrong here. The kernel is 100 percent corporate-only-involvement. No hacker/hobbiest involvement anymore, has been for some time.
"All hacker code from the 1990s has been rewritten or removed" -- some time ago

>Linux is going Intel-only

Oh sorry, Intel and ARM only (when the rust compiler for ARM (64) is updated)
>Rust makes Linux Intel-only
Intel+Arm64 (when the rust compiler is current to the Intel version)
>Rust replaces C in Linux
It is doing so, more and more
>Other architectures need a fork
When they're ripped out of the kernel: yes they need a fork.
AI is wrong.

>Nobody forks Linux because of censorship

Oh sorry: "censorship and constant hacking"

>Linux can't be forked

Due to the network effect: practically impossible with a single person.
Linus himself never did it:
He started with Minix source code: so effectivly was Linus+AndrewTatenbaulm: and right away asked for hacker help: which he got.

Again AI is not right here.

And again; ReiserFS.
I was there when it was added.
A great day.
EXT2 was bad.

I remeber a time before the Linux Foundation existed. They have stolen linux from the community: effecting a conversion.
It used to be ALL hacker code.
Owned by the hackers.

Now the hackers are ejected and kept out.
And yes the russians are banned.
and Russians themselves say they won't contribute to linux because linus hates their country and banned their guys.

You Zoomer fucks believe words in textual format online are "behavior": and you believe that there should be real-world consequences for people, especially MMMAALLLLESSSS, that are older than you; to suffer if they express a belief that is different than your Zoomer beliefs.

Why is it that anywhere I post: suddenly Zoomer seething dipshit feminist fucks appear after a few hours?

I'm not popular nor known: so you can't claim that "oh every Zoomer piece of fucking shit knows you". Nope.
