The past couple of years have particularly seen a trend of series turning to garbage within a lot of people's eyes; from fans to haters and all in between. Content creators have been falling off at every point, video game developers and companies are losing their minds, and one popular shows have devolved into unwatchable writing messes that gain traction through those curious enough to see how bad it gets or hope for the best.

It reminds me how people started to criticize Steven Universe after it gained a lot of popularity and admittedly, the writing went to shit. Or how big companies like Nintendo, Bethesda, Blizzard, ect have gone down over time.

Anyway, what's the worst piece of media you've run into over the past couple of years? Whether it be anime, video games, or movie, ect.

I'll even grant the past 6 years, soon to be 7.

It's just something I've really, really been noticing between the waxing and waning of good media.

I mean we did just get PSG season 2, which was fucking incredible; Cyberpunk season 2, which was a masterpiece; Frieren, the Mob Psycho series finale, ect, ect.

It feels like a lot of out with the old and in with the new, but it sucks when you genuinely liked a lot of the old. Star Wars is a good example of this. I was never a massive Star Wars guy, but Disney did ruin that shit immensely.

Helluva Boss: all Im saying about that is it went from kinda funny explicit imp show with some will they wont they, and character development to; gay boys crying every other episode.

No high hopes for season 3 with some of these clips, but Ill eat my words if I am wrong.

Also: I wish the show would stop acting like Stolas is the good little innocent birdy who could do no wrong. Dude talks about emotions and feelings when he literally painted the relationship to begin with as a transactional hookup, then got his feeling hurt when the fag-imp understood the assignment. Now they're acting like Blitzo is the one who is being wronged now that Stolas is literally doing the same? Messy is fine. The narrative of "feel bad for this guy" isnt. Vivz is a bad writer with good ideas. Brandon Rodgers is the only person keeping it together storywise I can imagine.

This is why PSG is better. It is a story that doesnt take itself seriously with some seriously deep moments that happen naturally. Helluva Boss is a story that pretends not to take itself seriously, but absolutely takes itself seriously.

Im not even all that upset over the whole woke thing as terrible as that is. (If it was funny, but it doesnt look funny) Rockstar has made fun of the left, right, up, down, front and back. Im upset because the game looks like an over priced, glitch-filled unplayable money grab of a mess that they wanna sell to us for like 100 bucks a copy.

Not to mention every aspect of it looks boring and the opposite of fun. The story look terrible from what I can tell, the character interactions are Baulder's Gate dog shit, the mechanics are flawed, they're playing jokes safer, and overall it just makes me want to play an older version of GTA instead.

We went from pressing X to doubt, to holding R2 to hold hands.

What do you define as original? Because most of all thoughts if similar; could be seen as influenced by the world around you. I haven't watched h3h3 in years. I dont really care that Ethan cheated on his wife, or anything about a boring multi-millionaire pair of IDF supporting jews. But from what I heard I can almost understand why the dude did it, considering his wife hadn't had sex with him in like 3 years. I'm not defending cheating, but if you are in a relationship, sex and consent go both ways. You aren't entitled to sex, but if you aren't being intimate with your partner in that way it might make them feel dejected enough to end the relationship. It's both selfish to demand it as it is selfish to refuse to engage in it.
