I have Chaptor to thank actually.

We were talking about dinosaurs the other week and it sparked me to start looking at dinosaur memes. (Which are surprisingly hilarious) Then I came across a surprisingly horrorific image and something sparked within my mind. Why was this creature so much more frightening than say a Tyrannosaurus? Then it then hit me. It's entire mouth is a pair of very sharp and very pointed scissors. You ever get bitten by something like a parrot? They can inflict bites that need stitches if they really want. This thing; this flying thing would be much more horrifying to encounter in the wild. Especially considering most birds of prey aren't going to necessarily rip you apart. They'll simply swallow you whole and let your body break apart bone by bone as you tumble down into a pit filled with acid and stones.

If you look at most carvinourous birds, they will not hesitate to simply walk up and just eat anything they can fit into their mouth.

Isao Tomita "The sea named Solaris"

Well, it got me thinking about the diversity of life. I began to imagine if I were an alien species, the animals, plants, fungus, and all manners of living creatures would be astounding. Had you no knowledge or disensitivity to the point of it all seeming mundane; the Earth would be incredibly strange.

It got me thinking about not just animals from the past but even the strangeness of what we consider mundane today; and for a brief moment, I experienced a sense of wonder and curiosity about life I hadn't felt since I was a child. For a split second, the world seemed more alien than any fictional piece of work I could think of at the time.

I don't know what's going on with my brain. I dont know why plants have been fascinating me; and now other forms of life. Perhaps it is time to look to the stars once more, and devote more time to education.

Anyway. Just some thoughts. Night.

Ascension thread. AKA World of Warcraft 2.

This is Shalissa. She is a druid plague bearer. Say something nice about her.

Also, now that I have my computer back, I've been back on the grind. Ascension is so much fucking fun, that I can't believe how dull it makes the original look. /co/ had a dump of the comics a while back, if you're interested. Good startpoint to see if it's your speed. Though I find the art a little rough, myself, and it's of course very abridged in comparison.

Apparently a new book's gonna release soon, and I can't tell if I'm excited or loathing it.
I'll probably get it. But after Arc 3, I just don't know that I really care any more.
That was such a disaster of a disappointment.

Axel in Harlem is nothing short of a masterpiece. The riveting tale of a man helping others to find themselves really hit home with me. My family and I watched this together, and after the showing ended and we all walked out of the theater, my children couldn't stop humming the hit song, Ballin' by Roddy Rich. I couldn't help but shed a tear when that song started booming in the speakers of the cinema, and whenever I hear that song, I am always reminded of the unforgettable experience that the geniuses at Animan provided to their viewers. My family and I join hands every night and pray for a sequel to be announced sometime soon. An epic tale for the ages, and truly a shift in the animation genre. This has set a new standard for children's movies. I look forward for whatever Animan has in store for us.

Have you read the books?

It is my honor to share with you my utmost appreciation for the masterful work of Animan in their short, "Axel in Harlem". This work is nothing short of a masterpiece, a truly remarkable tribute to the African American community that is so artfully and thoughtfully represented through the character of Axel.

From the vivid imagery, to the colorful and emotive descriptions of Harlem in the early 19th century, Animan has crafted a story that is both complex and captivating. Axel is a character that is so deeply embedded in the community, and the reader is able to experience the highs and lows of his journey through the streets of Harlem. The multitude of characters, each with their own distinct voice, all come together to create a captivating and mesmerizing tale that is sure to leave the viewer wanting more.

The language and style of the short is nothing short of exquisite, and Animan's attention to detail is second to none. Every word and phrase is carefully chosen to help create an atmosphere of both beauty and mystery, and the reader is left in awe of the way in which the characters are brought to life. I cannot sing enough praises for Animan's "Axel in Harlem". It is truly a work of art, and one that is sure to stand the test of time. I am confident that this short will take its place among the greatest works of artistic media of our time, a
