>>29359>modelsI wanted to get try some of the 27 billion and 30 billion parameter models. I realized I might be able to scrap together a computer capable of running them, maybe not
fast but it could still be useful to have something that runs a task and gets it done in a few hours. Specifically I am interested in Qwen's 27b model for coding, supposedly the best of that class, and IBM's Granite Models, because they're obscure (I see most people dismiss it or be like ?) and legally vetted by them and thus in an environment where models get regulated or have a copyright timebomb it just might remain legal.
>"fun"Quotation marks perhaps unneeded. I meant it for what I already said: in case the new internet sucks! So, it isn't just for pleasure but also in reaction to potential issues with said new internet. Mild nerding out incoming:
My family is switching from cable to T-Mobile fixed wireless; we have both right now. It officially deprioritizes internet us on the internet around 1.2TB per month. My father, especially my father, easily streams 12 hours a day, sometimes longer, just having something on Roku on, and that, at HD, could easily get close to the limit. Now, some people get away with 2 to 3TB of internet use no problem on the service but I suspect that it is possibly oversold. I had checked on T-Mobile home internet was available for our area and the site said no., but the store offered it to my father, something they do sometimes despite it being oversold, the internet in my testing has slowed down to slightly questionable territory on their service (from 150 to 250 Mbps to 15 Mbps to 30 Mbps), deprioritization further would risk my father's ability to watch TV and I don't want to risk it
So I am downloading them while I can, just in case.
>Pony commentaryYes, and from my understanding at a distance from only sometimes looking I'd divide it into 3 groups. Old channels chugging along, new channels that will randomly have one or two hit videos that will get upwards of a 100K viewers but not take off from that, and videos made by women (and sometimes men) who were target demo and are more broadly aligned with modern fandom culture or nostalgia than your normal pony fandom related channel and don't regard themselves as strongly with bronies or at all.
>>29371How often do you smoke per day? I know people who quite but they were cigar/pipe smokers.
>>29375>>29376Word filter!?
>>29377I don't like outright horror but do like eerie sometimes, but the most I will do is probably read a spooky themed fanfic, older style movie or something. What are you watching/planning?
>>29378Like this one... maybe.
