I've done mouse and paint before in the past.

It is absolutely not like drawing with a pen whatsoever. It reminds me more like chiseling out the lines. Draw, erase; draw erase. Each line. With an actual pen you have more control and manipulation of the picture.

You can get vaguely similar result, but when I use an actual pencil and pen it is much much better quality when tampering with.

I only did the mouse girl with pen only because all I had was a pen and some notebook paper.

I need to get a tablet.

I used to take commissions very long ago back when i was still using a mouse to draw, it was. It was just pony oc's vector images in the show's artstyle. So using a mouse wasn't a problem(even thought I cheat sometimes by sketching on irl paper)

'Least way back when I did memes, I did it without draw and erase. It was okay. Sometimes I'd have to remove a line, of course, because it was just fucked, but for the most part it was smooth mouse flicks.

Alright, let me explain this in a way that you might be able to understand. With a pen and paper/pen and tablet, I can physically grab the paper or tablet and physically manipulate it. I can angle it, spin it around easier; I can do whatever it is I need to do to make the picture happen.

I'm not saying it is impossible to use a mouse. It is just a trash method. To get straighter lines you can to zoom in at smaller scales, swipe, erase as needed, ect to get a line good. For every detail.
