Now, allow me to explain. Sure, being a short king allows me to access all of the cute races: goblins, kobolds, skinks (which are on average the height of a human, but on the smaller side in lore); skaven even (their average height ranges from 4 to 6 feet even)

But you get access to all of the cool, super tanky races: you could take the green/pickle pill and be an ork who wants nothing more than to get stuck in; a massive land walrus ogre who can literally take the omlette pill, and vore your enemies; or grow a foot fetish and join the sons of Behemat. You can literally eat clouds if you so wish; which goes along with that tanky berserker style you have mentioned before.

Not to mention if you were a giant and in combination with lizardfolk, you would become a kroxigor of some sort. Plus the lizardmen have the most powerful of magic. You could actually be enchanted to go from a hulking warrior in combat to a small 4'3 lizard who wants nothing more than to serve. I could even see a Krox fueled with enough divine energy to essentially serve as a paladin of sorts

See? Not an arrow in sight.

They are pretty based...
I'd feel more at home in a skink's body, or at least more ideally placed. But I suppose you've a point. They are pretty solid.

I've my own headcannon tastes to them, as well, with them being described I recall as the main construction force for the lizardmen. To me, this suggests rather than the lack of intelligence many suggest, something more of a straight forwardness. Comparable to the moles in Redwall, renowned for their common sense, if not their imagination.
You can trust a Kroxigor to fix a problem for you. Yes, most the time, that will be force. But that's because it works, isn't it?

Otherwise, I do like their personalities. They're not loud like the Saruses, nor do they bounce as the skinks. They're rather deliberate, slow, and yet unyielding. Nakai is a genuine favorite of mine because of it. He's just so... calming. Even as he runs rampage through a force, Sword of Khaine in hand, he's just got such a relaxed style to it. They're pretty cool that way.

I told you. Nonny knows best. It makes the most sense for you to be a krox really. Allow me to explain further and you can take whatever details you feel applicable to yourself as necessary.

Stoicism and being outright dumb are often confused with one another. Kroxigors are extremely battle intelligent. And as a main force for construction; a lot of people don't realize that even the most simple carpentry requires a lot of skill and knowledge of your field to do things correctly. They arent just slamming wood together like some kind of unruly orks. They're doing the lifting with intelligent instructions from engineers. They have to show strength and finess to really make those structures strong in addition to understanding those instructions.. of course with a bit of help from smaller hands. The lizardmen empires are extremely impressive from an architectural point of view.

Again. Lizardmen are also one of the most magically powerful of any of the races. And I know you like feeling cute. Through magic you'd be able to have your cake and eat it too. While most krox wouldn't have the desire to transform into something smaller, I don't see it being an issue what so ever if one wanted to spent their time off as an adorable skink. After a some elves can turn into dragons and shit from what I understand.

Actually that would be horrific for a pack of humans, orks, or skaven; ect, ect.

They see a pack of skinks relaxing and enjoying their day; see them as weak targets and make a sneak attack; only for the smallest of them to suddenly transform into a massive lizard with jaws able to snap through a femur like crunching down a Kit Kat.

They wouldn't know what hit em.

Well, I did always fancy the prospect of shifting forms at will.
Part of the appeal for dragons, in some respects.

I could see that idea. Could be a rather interesting one. An odd skink in the group, the one who's quiet, says little, but enjoys the company.
The others find him strange, but, harmless enough. 'Til the day a band of Skaven launch an attack, fancying themselves a meal.
The odd skink rips off a pendant gold clasping a stone plaque of ancient make, and suddenly starts to grow into a 12ft tall hulking monstrosity that easily overpowers the brigands.
Only to pick back up the pendant, turning around back as he was, with not but a quiet grin back at them.

More or less the idea. Rather than the usual "my transformation item makes me strong enough to fight bad guy!", it's the opposite. The transformation item makes him small enough to hang out with his friends without terrifying them.
And, hey, that can be part of the journey, too. As he gets more acceptance in Kroxigor form from his Skink buddies who learn he's not so mean as he looks, starting to use it more for just getting around than actually hiding his true 'self' from his pals.

I dunno. I think I prefer them more reasonably sized.
They're supposed to be Monsterous Infantry, not equivalent to individual specialty units.
Equivalent to trolls, as opposed to giants.

I think it's more likely they're referring to total length.
Total length would be on par with typical crocodillians, as well.
And given their squating legs and hunched over posture, it seems a more practical measurement method.
