they missed the court date as expected. now they're on their way back and having car trouble. they're trying to get their car towed an hour and a half away and said I could go pick them up... excuse me? of course they have no way to pay me and weren't going to. they think that tow is going to be covered under their roadside assistance, and it won't be. I told her no part of her plan makes any sense. and rather than getting someone to pay me to pick them up, she's apparently trying to get someone else to pick them up.

surprisingly, that was due to the other one procrastinating. and they of course got into a huge fight over it, blaming each other.

Soon, but probably not before you do. I need to go take care of the Munch now. I hopped on to do the timed Trekville stuff first.
It starts out very weak and almost useless since it relies entirely on research you don't have yet for its effectiveness. It's a work in progress. The just started another 2-day "spend materials" leaderboard competition, and I'm 1 day from maxing out the ship cost efficiency research for 3 specialty currencies, so I'm 2 days from dumping my materials and then pulling the trigger to advance to the next level.

yeah it's been crooked since a few weeks after it happened. Everyone kept wrapping the splint in the same direction in such a way that it twisted her foot. They tried twisting it back by reversing the wrap starting a month ago. It's not as crooked as it was, but it's still very obviously crooked. she should hopefully be able to walk on it, just at an even weirder angle than she was before.

it's still on. but it should go off in about 30 more miles of driving once it recalibrates itself. there was a misfire on one of the cylinders, caused by fouling of the spark plugs. the old ones were surprisingly copper spark plugs, and even more surprising that's the OEM default. I replaced them with iridium.

I'm going to grab some sandwiches. I'm hungry; haven't eaten in almost 24 hours.

Copper was the old standard, back when tune-ups were something you had to do every 30,000 miles. But as I understand it, they haven't been standard since probably the 90s? Spark plugs are cheap, why save less than $10 per spark plug, for a massively increased headache while also having to swap them out and cost more in the long run?

She's pretty good, but they didn't want to risk taking the splint off yet just in case. She's got 2 more checkups planned, one next week and one in 3. And at the second one, they'll x-ray and see if she's good to have it taken off for good. At this point, I'm letting her move around the apartment on her own. But the cast they put on her is much larger than the ones she's had for the past month and she can't stand on it on her own very easily. She scoots around pretty well. I've been bringing her up onto my bed with me at times, too. But she chooses to spend most of her time in her crate.

it's an alliance of left-behinds. which is kind of cool actually. I'm now the 5th most powerful in the alliance. but it's misleading. We have a 49 who's a flaky geriatric PvEer, a 44 who won't communicate for shit, 2 42s who know what they're doing in PVP and are the backbone of the alliance, and now I'm next behind them at 41, but half their strength because I have a lot of catching up to do.

There's been a lot of turmoil in "territory," and given the larger alliances that have been kicked out of theirs, it's likely they'll be coming for ours. So I wanted to test this PVE alliance to see what sort of defenses they could muster, by kicking a hornet's nest / assaulting their alliance star base (ASB). The ASB assault system is underdeveloped and pointless, but it does alert everyone in the alliance and typically causes an alliance to swarm in and defend. So I kicked it and about 10 ships showed up? I didn't even send a ship to the assault itself; I just wanted to see who would show up and with what. They were a ragtag group with weak ships and horrible crews. And then one of the 42s went in with his behemoth of a ship and wiped them all out. They were not happy. But it was good to know, since they're one of the few alliances with territory that we can possibly go after once we get kicked from ours.
